The double-track on the left is the ex-Midland main line from Sheffield and the North to Chesterfield, then Nottingham, Leicester and London St Pancras also Derby, Birmingham, Gloucester and Bristol: the platforms on these lines were removed in ... , as trains towards Chesterfield no longer called at what until then had been 'Dore & Totley' station. However in 11/2013 a new platform was built, a much-upgraded 'Dore & Totley Park & Ride' station came into being
