Australian relief members of No. 9 (New Zealand) Station, 1st Wireless Signal Squadron, Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force, being entertained at afternoon tea in her garden by American medical missionary, Doctor Blanche Stead. She is serving the tea and food on a cloth on the ground while the soldiers sit nearby. Oval insert in the photograph is a head and shoulders portrait of Mrs Stead, who with her husband, Reverend F.
