I might be over doing this particular black and white technique, but for me has becoming my temporary creative outlet. Recently, I've read that Iceland is close to the 2,5m visitors milestone which is insane for an island inhabited by 340.000 persons. This is also means, that by the end of the year we will have 2,5m pictures of Goðafoss, Þingvellir, Hallgrímskirkja and Skógafoss (this waterfall in particular) among others, which is why I'm trying cheesy ways to set the pictures apart. Therefore, I cropped square once again and made it very tight, even eliminating part of the top of the waterfall. Not sure if it is creative enough, but I'm certainly enjoying this kind of shots and post-processing. Also, B&W is a nice way to learn to digest the grain and noise. It really adds some mood to the pictures! I'd love to have a model to made a sense of scale (very usual in Skógafoss and waterfalls in general), but traveling solo sometimes has its drawbacks. Anyway, I think its worth sharing. As always leave your suggestions and comments! |
