English: View of Norwich Crag strata exposed in the cliffs at Easton Wood, Covehithe, Suffolk, UK. The sands and gravels were deposited during the Baventian stage, about 1.85 million years ago. The climate was cold at this time, with a grassy heath type vegetation. Fossil shells can sometimes be found in beds at the foot of the cliff, if beach levels are low enough. The cliffs are in the Pakefield to Easton Bavents Site of Special Scientific Interest.
