In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the CPA technique with its inventors Donna Strickland & Gérard Mourou (2018 Nobel Prize in Physics winners) This major scientific breakthrough – used by thousands of researchers around the world – has paved the way for ultra-intense lasers and revolutionized their applications, ranging from ophthalmology to particle physics. This February 14, come discover or rediscover the story of this exciting adventure alongside its inventors and other international scientific experts during the colloquium "A Journey with Lasers and Physics at High Intensities". The morning sessions will be dedicated to scientific presentations on the advances made thanks to the CPA technique as well as the prospects for future discoveries. The afternoon sessions will include speakers and friends who will share their memoires in connection with the CPA technique and its esteemed inventors.
