Bức tranh miêu tả hoàng đế Gia Tĩnh cùng đoàn tùy tùng khổng lồ của mình xuất phát từ Đại Thắng môn thành Bắc Kinh, đích đến là núi Thiên Thọ, nằm cách đó khoảng 45 km, vốn là khu lăng tẩm của các vị Hoàng đế nhà Minh.
