DescriptionEllerby (previously Burton Constable) railway station (site), Yorkshire (geograph 3531604).jpg
English: Ellerby (previously Burton Constable) railway station (site), New Ellerby, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Opened as Burton Constable in 1864 by the Hull & Hornsea Railway, which soon to become part of the North Eastern Railway empire, this station closed in 1964. View north towards Whitedale and Hornsea. The roadside station building was still located behind the trees to the left when this image was taken, but the railway cutting underneath the former road bridge has long since been filled in. A separate station called Ellerby was located further south but this closed to passengers in 1902. See TA1638 : Ellerby railway station (site), Yorkshire. In 1922, Burton Constable station was renamed Ellerby.
