Summary

Description
English: Pictured – Members of 4/73 Battery Royal Artillery conducting a two-week long exercise in the Warcop training area, in the UK.

The troops conducted, Live firing contact drills, "Man Down" drills, GMG and HMG live firing both static and moving these, were also done in day and night conditions.

They also used Black Hornet UAV's to conduct river crossing surveillance, once completed they underwent a two man Bergen river crossing drill.

STA (Surveillance and Target Acquisition) Patrols operate at range and in close proximity to the enemy; hence their demanding selection and training needs to physically and mentally prepare them for advance force operations. They combine technically advanced surveillance with the ability to execute control of joint fires, including Artillery, Attack Helicopters, Fast jets and Precision Missiles. STA Patrols support the Commander’s decision-making and allow him to find and strike the enemy at range.
