Creators of play, "Fly"

Date of publication Used by Ford's Theater, 2009 -- but possibly earlier as well
Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) Fly (play)
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) The play is about the first black airmen to serve in the U.S. military in WWII. This poster helps illustrate that theme by using an image that would have been highly unusual during the 1943 setting of the play.
Not replaceable with
free media because
(WP:NFCC#1)
Because this article is about a theatrical production, finding a free image is difficult if not impossible. However, this is an image widely used by the theater mounting the production, and can be found in many places, including different advertisements and internet sites.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) Only one image is used, for one article.
Respect for
commercial opportunities
(WP:NFCC#2)
Using a low-resolution image in an article to describe the play (its history, plot, and meaning) -- and an image that is in frequent use in other settings (print and internet) would not harm any commercial opportunities of the owner of this image. On the contrary, it is my belief that this image, along with the article, will enhance public knowledge about the play for which this image was created.
