(D) The nucleus contains many different membraneless structures, including the nucleolus (orange), constitutive heterochromatin compartments (yellow), paraspeckles (green) and transcriptional condensates (blue), which have all been proposed to assemble through liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS).
