The Traveling Salesman moved to the Gaiety Theatre from the Liberty Theatre on the afternoon of September 7, 1908 (Labor Day) and closed April 10, 1909.
"Gaiety Theatre", New-York Daily Tribune, September 6, 1908, Part IV, p. 2, col. 2: "This little playhouse was opened last Monday night, and Mr. Cohan and his Yankee Prince company occupied its stage all week. Beginning tomorrow afternoon, The Traveling Salesman will be the attraction there for an indefinite period. Frank J.
