English: Two images of the Flag of the Commonwealth of Nations, reduced from 2048×1024 to 128×64. The images were resized with cubic interpolation, but a Gaussian blur with σ = 32px was applied to the bottom image before downscaling. The blur makes the image less sharp, but prevents the formation of aliasing artifacts. (In the actual flag, the spears are straight, radially directed, and do not touch each other.) |
