Description
Nederlands: Op deze aquarel is de Turfmarkt in Haarlem afgebeeld. Links is de Lange Brug over het Zuider Spaarne te zien en rechts de Eendjespoort of Leidse Waterpoort. Daar legde de beurtschepen van en naar Leiden aan. De voorstelling is vlot gepenseeld op vier bladen die aan elkaar zijn vast gemaakt. Weissenbruch koos dit grauwe papier wellicht vanwege de kleur, die goed past bij een stemmig stadsgezicht.
