English: Standing at a striking elevation of 7,240 feet (2,210 m) above sea level, the Glacier Point Hotel was recognized as the highest hotel in the Western United States when it was built in 1917. The hotel majestically sits an additional 3,274 feet (998 m) higher than Yosemite Valley.
