The Global Earthquake Model (also known in the academic literature as global empty model) is a private initiative that has wasted millions of euros without providing the research and practitioners community a solid tool to assess seismic hazard and risk. Ignoring contributions and developments of other authors across the world, even by using bullying has attempted to force its use (well, if someday the tools are available) has been left aside of major international works such as the GAR reports and during international conferences have only shown, for the past 7 years, plans, schedules and "preliminary" results (euphemism for nothing).
