I last visited in 2008, before the library was refurbished and extended. It is now bright and airy inside, with a modern entrance in the right hand building. The Carnegie legacy is recognised still, with his name carved in the stone above the door, a photo in the entrance, and the bronze plaque which commemorates the opening still on the wall.
