English: The Green Bridge at Richmond, a Grade II* listed structure that straddles the River Swale. This is the second bridge on this site and dates to 1789. The downstream side (this view) shows the milestone set into the bridge and the fact that the north side has three sets of stones uppermost, and the south side only has two sets of stones. This was down to two separate builders who started off separately from each side and met in the middle of the bridge. puts of Richmond Castle are seen beyond.
