Summary

Description
English: Jewellery items made by my wife and myself. LEFT: an earring in a chain maille weave called Full Persian, using blue and gold anodised aluminium jump rings (aluminium never tarnishes!). MIDDLE: a charm bracelet in silver-plated copper jump rings, in a chain maille weave called Box. RIGHT: an earring in glass beads (we didn’t make the silvery plate they hang on). Note: The technique of weaving jump rings is spelled “chain maille” from the French word maille (meaning “mesh”). The Wikipedia article headed “Chain mail” mainly talks about soldiers uniforms for which the spelling Chain mail is correct. However for jewellery Chain maille is the spelling.
