DescriptionHay Hooks, San Timoteo Canyon, Redlands, CA 1-2012 (6727034315).jpg
English: (1 in a multiple picture set)
I spotted these hay hooks hanging from a pile of bales on the Sundance Rancy in San Timoteo Canyon near Redlands, CA. To me they tell a tale of hard work. Wranglers use them to pull a heavy bale of hay from the stack. Then the bale must be pulled apart and fed to the stock. It is dusty, itchy work.
