Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt die am Südende des Herrensees gelegene Verlandungszone, für die die zahlreichen umgestürzten Baumstämme am Ufer typisch sind. (Teil des FFH-Gebietes 3449-301, Herrensee, Lange-Damm-Wiesen und Barnimhänge in der nähe von Strausberg, Brandenburg). Die Baumstämme bieten einen reichen Lebensraum für viele Arthropode wie Ameisen, Spinnen oder Libellen.
English: The picture shows the aggradation zone around the southern tip of lake Herrensee. Typical are the many tree-stems that have fallen into the lake and provide for a rich habitat for many smaller arthropods ranging from ants to spiders, dragonflies and damselflies.
