exposé à amsterdam en 1845 aux noms de gerrit et job berckheyde. gerrit berckheyde, né à haarlem en 1638, mort en 1698. il a peint plusieurs fois ce même sujet, peut-être our des membres du conseil municipal d'amsterdam. il en existe un exemplaire au musée de cette ville, un autre à bruxelles. celui-ci est le plus beau.

les mesures ne sont pas les mêmes que celles du catalogue de la vente ryfsnyder, mais c'est le même tableau. j'ai fait ôter une bande en bois dans le bas, que l'on avait ajouté un panneau au XVIIIe siècle, pour lui donner les mêmes dimensions qu'un pendant.
