Description
Deutsch: Der Sender Gartow 1 war ein 324 m hoher, abgespannter Stahlfachwerkmast des Senders Höhbeck (Funkübertragungsstelle Gartow 1/2). Der Turm wurde 1963 errichtet und am 20. August 2009 gesprengt. Er übertrug die Fernsehsender ZDF, NDR und RBB sowie den Deutschlandfunk und stellte eine Richtfunkstrecke ohne Sichtverbindung zur Gegenstelle Schäferberg in Westberlin her. Der Mast hatte einen Querschnitt von 4,2 x 4,2 m und ein Gewicht von 1001 t. Er war mit 24 Pardunen vierfach in drei Richtungen abgespannt. An seiner Spitze saß ein GFK-Zylinder mit einer Länge von 17 m und einem Durchmesser von 1,6 m.
