Description
Deutsch: Der Sender Gartow 2 ist ein 344 m hoher, abgespannter Stahlfachwerkmast des Senders Höhbeck (Funkübertragungsstelle Gartow 1/2). Der Turm wurde 1977/78 errichtet. Er ist in vier Höhen bei 60 m, 132 m, 216 m und 312 m abgespannt. Gartow 2 stellte eine Richtfunkstrecke mit direkter Sichtverbindung zur Gegenstelle Berlin-Frohnau her. Gegenwärtig betreibt der Deutsche Amateurfunkdienst auf dem Turm eine Relaisstation für Amateurfunk-Fernsehen. Außerdem betreibt das Institut für Stahlbau der TU Braunschweig einer Windmessanlage. Im Abstand von 18 m werden die Windgeschwindigkeiten und -richtungen mit Anemometern und Windfahnen gemessen.
