Depicted place: Nevatim Airbase English: The 122nd ("Nachson") Squadron received its new aircraft - the "Oron", which will grant the IAF unprecedented intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities. The advanced aircraft was formally introduced in a ceremony led by Commander of the IAF, Maj. Gen. Amikam Norkin.
עברית: חנוכת המטוס החדש "אורון" שהגיע אל טייסת 122 ("הנחשון") ויופעל על ידיה. המטוס, אשר מביא עמו יכולות חדשניות לחיל ולצה"ל בכלל, נחנך בטקס חגיגי בראשותו של מפקד חיל-האוויר, אלוף עמיקם נורקין. טייסת 122 ("הנחשון"), הידועה גם כטייסת הביון של החיל, מפעילה שני מטוסים מסוג נחשון: "שביט ו"עיטם". מטוס ה"אורון" אמנם דומה בצורתו החיצונית למטוס ה"עיטם", אך מערכותיו מתקדמות יותר ומאפשרות הפעלת משימות רבות. |
