Equestrian portrait of Henry Casimir II, Prince of Nassau-Dietz, as commander in a battle. Behind him an officer is riding with his sword raised. On the foreground a black boy with the prince's helmet. On the ground dead and wounded soldiers are laying as well as a drum and a banner. To the right the battle itself can be seen through clouds of smoke.
