Summary

Description Quercus parvula var. parvula—Santa Cruz Island oak. The taxon is included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 4.2 (limited distribution). Santa Cruz Island oak grows primarily on Santa Cruz Island and other northern Channel Islands. It also is found on the mainland in Santa Barbara County. Other mainland collections are likely for other Q. parvula varieties. The tree that provided these leaves and flowers grows in Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
