Deutsch: Julius Jacobson (1828 - 1889) studierte bei A. von Arlt in Prag und A. von Graefe in Königsberg, und richtete ab 1873 ein erstes, von der Chirurgie unabhängiges Lehramt für Augenheilkunde in Köngisberg ein mit dem Bau einer ersten eigenständigen Universitätsaugenklinik in Preußen (1877)
