Français : Old Mortality, Paris 1833, Huile sur toile. (Scène tirée de la nouvelle de Walter Scott "Les puritains d'Écosse"). Regnier choisi de représenter le personnage principal, Robert Paterson, un écossais du 18e siècle, qui à la fin de la vie décide de voyager à travers l'Ecosse pour re-graver les tombeaux des martyrs presbythériens de Covenanter au 17e siècle.
