DescriptionJimmy’s Oriental Gardens Building, Canon Perdido Street, Santa Barbara, CA (53927159159).jpg
Built in 1927, this Spanish Colonial Revival-style building was constructed as part of the rebuilding of Santa Barbara following the 1925 Santa Barbara Earthquake, and formed part of the city’s historic Chinatown. The building features a painted brick exterior with a side-gable red terra cotta tile roof, bracketed eaves, three large bays on the front facade, and red-painted trim. The building is one of the last remnants of Santa Barbara’s Chinatown, which was largely leveled to make way for the reconstruction of the Presidio in the late 20th Century.
