Description
Joel Shomaker, former editorial writer for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, at this time a candidate for the Republican nomination for Congress in a district that extended to Seattle; Shomaker was living in far less populous Kitsap County, but still within the congressional district. Shomaker had been first mayor of Tukwila, Washington when it was incorporated in 1908.
