On the right is the Maimaicheng (Chinese trade town). Its name is Maimaa Khota on the painting.

On the left is the Russian consulate area. Its name is Khonsul Saidiin Yam on the painting.

Note the blue-roofed brown brick building of the mining company Mongolore.

The name of the brown hill is Makhuza Tologai (Maakhuuz Tolgoi).

The Tuul River and Mount Bogd Khan Uul can be seen at the bottom of the painting.
