Tiếng Việt: Một bài kệ niệm Phật của Hòa Thượng Thích Trí Tịnh được khắc trên đá, dựng trong khuôn viên chùa Vạn Đức ở Thủ Đức, Tp. Hồ Chí Minh, Việt Nam.
Englishː Verses for reciting the Buddha's name by Venerable Thích Trí Tịnh engraved on stone and erected in the grounds of Vạn Đức Pagoda in Thủ Đức, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Translation of the poem by An Tranː
Homage to Amitabha!
Without urgency or impatience,
My heart-mind and voice unite in veneration,
Always reciting with clarity.
I gather the mind into the study of samadhi (concentration),
Gaining clear insight into the true nature of wisdom
By means of right mindfulness clearing away delusion, or,
Equally, by means of discipline in the precepts.
I maintain continuous mindfulness on the [Buddha's] image--
the true meaning of Holding the Name
single-mindledly--[and so] the Buddha appears
through the attainment of samadhi (absorption).
Virtuous thoughts are no thoughts,
as the Mind's nature is inherently empty--
The Mind that creates the Buddha IS the Buddha:
I realize that the Dharmakaya manifests from within.
Homage to Amitabha!
Homage to Amitabha!
