English: One of 7 Ponors of the southern part of the very large Tripoli-Plateau (polje). The plateau has no natural water outlet, which is a relatively frequent phenomenon in the Karstbasins of Arcadia (island of the Peloponnese in Greece).
When precipitation of winters was exceptionally rich, the polje became flooded, until the second half of the 20th century even temporary lakes were possible. In such a case ponors became vital.
