Description
English: Kenyte from Mount Kenya. This kenyte sample is a type of phonolite lava with phenocrysts of anorthoclase in a glassy, often flow-banded groundmass. This sample is 102 millimetres long and 42 millimetres wide. The lava was formed during the Pleistocene epoch.
