Summary

Description

Kiasma construction site in autumn 1996. The colour of the hoarding occasioned a heated debate. Letters to the editor saw the introduction of the colour pink so near Marshal Mannerheim’s equestrian statue as an affront. The outcry calmed down when the section of hoarding behind the statue was painted grey.

Kiasman työmaa syksyllä 1996. Työmaa-aidan väri herätti kiivasta keskustelua. Yleisönosastoilla pidettiin röyhkeänä pinkin värin tuomista lähelle marsalkka Mannerheimin ratsastajapatsasta. Tilanne rauhoittui, kun patsaan taustana oleva aitaosuus maalattiin harmaaksi.
