English: Kilmallock Collegiate Church Dedicated to the saints St Peter and St Paul, the church was built in the 13c. It differs in that it was served by a community of clerics - a college, which did not follow a monastic rule. In 1600 the sugan Earl of Desmond surrendered to the Crown in the church. His successor, James, 15th Earl of Desmond attended a Protestant service here causing such great offence among his subjects, that they rebelled against him.
