The gateway has four Portland stone gate piers with quadrant walls to the outer bays. The piers have square panelled shafts with cornice heads surmounted by urns.
The automated wrought iron entrance gates in the centre were installed by Mr Maneckjee B Dadabhoy of Nagpur about the 1930s; the roundels have his intertwined initials "MBD".
