English: Novo berdë's (Novo brdo's) castle was built on top of Novo berdë (Novo brdo) Mountain in 13th century, during the reign of Prince Lazar of Serbia, and was later fortified in the 14th century under the orders of Sufi Sinan Pasha, the Turkish bey of Budim. This huge fortress was constructed on top of a remnant volcano. Its ruins, where today one may see a huge cross carved into its outer stone walls, can still be visited.
