English: 'LNWR Large Bloomer 2-2-2 No 895 Torch' is seen fully coaled and watered when posed for the camera at Monument Lane shed, Birmingham. Designed by McConnell it was first rebuilt by Ramsbottom followed by FW Webb who fitted the locomotive with a cab and Crewe-type boiler mountings in 1873. The locomotive is fitted with a windlass chain brake and its McConnell six-wheeled tender carries davits for the communication cord.'
