Description
El título de la obra alude al flirteo de los dos personajes, jugando con las similitudes de la cesta con un confesionario. La escena aborda uno de los temas más frecuentes en la pintura de género de la segunda mitad del siglo XIX: el coqueteo y los juegos de las clases burguesas. Al optar por un formato vertical, el pintor concentra la atención en el hecho representado, la conversación galante entre los jóvenes, evitando que el espectador disperse su atención en el paisaje. El colorido claro, el dibujo preciso y la factura virtuosa son propios de las mejores pinturas de Palmaroli.
