Deutsch: Ladbergen, Zentrum, Afrouper
English: Bronze sculpture of a historic Afrouper (community messenger). Before newspapers existed until August 1965, the citizens were informed – on Sundays after church – of official announcements and other news on the Afroupeplatz (community messenges square) by the Afrouper. Until the end of World War I the local policeman served as Afrouper. Sculpted by Anne Daubenspeck-Focke and revealed in 1994. |
