Summary

Description The Praça Floriano is the one section of Avenida Rio Branco that still impresses. Several sidewalk cafés on the western side of the square serve as popular central meeting points in the evening, when the surrounding buildings are illuminated and at their most elegant. In the centre of the praça is a bust of Getúlio Vargas, still anonymously decorated with flowers on the anniversary of the ex-dictator's birthday, March 19 [roughguides.com]
