Deutsch: 25. August 1891. Der elektrifizierte Arkadenbogen der Internationalen Elektrotechnischen Ausstellung in Frankfurt am Main, bestückt mit 1000 Glühbirnen, deren Energie über eine 175 km lange Überlandleitung aus Lauffen am Neckar übertragen wurde. Im Hintergrund der künstliche Wasserfall.
English: 25 August 1891. The entrance to the International Electrotechnical Exhibition in Frankfurt am Main. Equipped with 1000 lightbulbs, the exhibition had its power supplied over a 175 km transmission line from Lauffen am Neckar. This was a first ever long-distance, high-power transmission of three phase power. In the background, an artificial waterfall can be seen.
