Ελληνικά: Περίπου το 250 μΧ κατά την διάρκεια των σύντομων, αλλά μανιωδών, διωγμών του Αυτοκράτορα Δέκιου, πρόσωπα που ήταν ύποπτα για Χριστιανισμό ήταν υποχρεωμένα να απαλλάξουν φανερά τους εαυτούς τους θυσιάζοντας στους παλιούς θεούς και μετά να λάβουν ένα πιστοποιητικό για να προστατεύουν τον εαυτό τους από περαιτέρω νομικές κατηγορίες.
