DescriptionLinie U5 Endstation - Hönow U-Bahnhof, Berlin DDR Jan 1990.jpg
English: The terminus of the newly extended U-Bahn line into the mushrooming suburbs of north east Berlin. It was only opened in July 1989, and I had read about it in the turgid pages of Kraftverkehr, an odd transport magazine sold in Kiosks, full of equations juxtaposed with fuzzy pictures of antediluvian IFA S4000 trucks and Ikarus buses. This line is now known as the U5.
