English: Southbound goods train on Mid-Wales line in Wye Valley near Doldowlod.
View northward, towards Rhayader, Llanidloes and Moat Lane Junction: ex-Cambrian Mid-Wales line, Moat Lane - Three Cocks - Brecon. This scenic line was closed 31/12/62. It was worked in its latter days by LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0s, but back in 1949 ex-GW and Cambrian 0-6-0s held sway: here we have 'Dean Goods' 0-6-0 No. 2351, dating back to 11/1884 and withdrawn 2/53. Up on the right is Gwasteddyn Hill (1,566 ft.).
