English: Low tide on the Mersey –
This photograph was taken at low tide just before sunset, it was shot from Eastham Ferry embankment. In the left distance is the village of Frodsham (the hill) surrounded by the Stanlow Oil Terminals. In the foreground is the deep channel leading up to the Manchester Ship Canal locks, which is the River Mersey entrance to the canal. In the middle ground of the photo are the Eastham Ferry Sandbanks, and, behind, the hill called Mount Manisty, which is on the northern bank of the Ship Canal.
