Summary

Description
English: At the Lowveld National Botanical Garden you will enjoy the tranquility of a spacious pastoral retreat where rivers, waterfalls, forests and native and exotic flowers coexist. The Lowveld Botanical Gardens not only amaze with its waterfalls and streams, but also with over 600 species of native plants. You will explore 159 hectares of an exotic park consisting of a cultivated garden and areas of natural vegetation. The garden is divided by the Crocodile and Nels Rivers. As you head to the Cascades and Nels viewpoints, you will admire the waterfalls and the point where they converge. You will then explore the African rainforest to discover a collection of Central and West African trees that are endangered in their native countries. From here you will take the suspension bridge that crosses the canopy and connects the forest to the visitor center. In the South African forest you can admire African hackberry (Celtis sp.) trees, trees that can reach 20 meters high. Beautiful site, entrance fee (very minimal) which allows the site to be kept in very good condition with toilets, tables, barbecue etc. The roads to Sabie are very beautiful and there are many waterfalls. The pools are remarkable for the possibility of swimming before the waterfalls which are a few kilometers distant.
