Summary

Description
English: In 2010, the Georgia Historical Society dedicated a historical marker titled "March to the Sea: Ebenezer Creek" near the site where hundreds of freed people drowned, and many more were enslaved once again, in 1864, while attempting to cross Ebenezer Creek while following U.S. Army troops with the hope they would escape pursuing Confederate troops.
