English: In 1823, Marguerite Bonga, a woman of African and Ojibwe descent from a prominent fur trading family, married Jacob Fahlström, originally from Sweden, in Fond du Lac near present-day Duluth. They settled in Afton, Minnesota. Her name is also spelled Margaret Bonga Fahlstrom, or Margaret Bungo Fahlstrom.
